By Proverbs 9, the voice changes. The father who has been warning, teaching, and repeating himself steps back, and wisdom speaks for herself. She doesn’t whisper or bargain for attention — she stands in the open and calls plainly: come. At this point, we are no longer being taught how to recognize wisdom. We are expected to know her voice.
