Proverbs 6 feels like a father’s letter for everyday life.
God warns us not to mortgage our future for another man’s irresponsibility,
to reject laziness,
to guard truth in speech,
and to protect faithfulness within marriage.

Work and diligence bless the household and keep us from becoming a burden,
and lust detached from covenant becomes a trap of darkness.

His correction is not harsh — it’s mercy lighting the path.
Obedience now is kindness to our future selves.
