Proverbs 2 shows us that it must be pursued—intentionally, regularly, and with urgency—like someone digging for silver, convinced the treasure is worth the effort.

Scripture is honest: when wisdom is not actively sought, something else will shape us. The absence of wisdom doesn’t leave us neutral; it leaves us vulnerable. But when we seek it, the Lord gives it—freely and faithfully—using it to guard our steps, sharpen our discernment, and keep us from paths that quietly steal peace.

Wisdom is not merely knowledge.
It is protection.
It is a kindness from God for those willing to dig.
